Where it all started
Trust me, it wasn’t always like this! Before succumbing to the great Google and revolving my life around search algorithms, I taught music at several schools and at my own practice in Phoenix, Arizona. Like many business owners, I discovered that owning my own business meant learning the real cost of doing business. Flash forward to several years later, with tens of thousands spent on marketing and no return and a team of unhappy and broke teachers—yeah, I was pissed.
Lo and behold, my anger turned into an obsession and, eventually, mastery. I poured myself into learning all things digital, testing and challenging my skills across different industries and partnering with organizations worldwide to understand internet search. Despite my passion for music education, I jumped head first into my digital marketing career after proving that I could make marketing work.
